ugh i just looked at page 15 again, it needs fixing in lots of ways. Panel 2 face is generally dumb, panel 3- blue lynn would have to be sitting on the floor for that angle. huhhhgh. Panel 1 passes.

The next page is all making out and sexy stuff. Kill me.

Got frustrated and took a little break. My shoulder is killing me! Anyway. I'm dreaming about post-graduation road trips, so that's where this came from. Just a quick quickie.

I think Page 9 needs some action lines to show the fact that Lynn fell down. Doesn't really feel like that so much right now.

Page 10 is giving me all kinds of problems. Mostly because I just don't feel like doing anything today. Also that face in panel 4. There's just something bothering me about it. But the ass in panel 3---well that's the ass that's going to keep the whole comic together, isn't it?

David O'Reilly is probably the most genius person alive. I didn't know about him until last year's film festival when they showed his animation "Please Say Something". I throw around Stephen Biesty's name all the time when I talk about cross sections, but David O'Reilly is the person whose work I was really thinking of when I started with that first terrible isometric house I drew. Here is it for you to barf on:

Look at them colors, huh. Gross. Just gross. Anyway, O'Reilly's latest film is called "The External World". It's 17 minutes long and totally mind-blowing. I didn't know who I was after I watched it.

Edit: Since it was brought up, I would like to mention that I have nothing against weirdy wackadoo weirdos who hold pencils wrong. There is actually a waitress who works at the coney island across the street from quality 16 who holds her pencil like this. My friend Jesse told me about her freshmen year and I was like Psh yeah whatever. It was not till I saw it with mine own eye 3 years later that I did believe him and were be truly ama-zed!

I have been watching lots of Aeon Flux lately. There are a couple of episodes that really relate to my project- "The Purge", which is about artificial conscience, and "A Last Time for Everything," which is about duplicates. The show is so inspiring. I forget about it every once and a while and watch the whole thing over. Peter Chung is an animation hero.

Committing

Here is me, committing to a story and a style. Something sketchier and more appropriate. I have been trying to go more cartoony lately and I just don't think it's for me. So here's my postcard right now...I made Lynn much skinnier. I think that will be really fun to draw.

Edit: I got a tumblr because i hear they're pretty great and I hate everything about blogger. I hate the weird tiny box you have to type in and I hate adding images to posts. Seriously, xanga is easier to use. I'm going to keep this blogger for IP related stuff only. That means no more music videos, experiments, fan art, or pictures of me and Colonel Tigh from Battlestar Galactica.

Here is the comp of the cover for my train story. I think doing this iso train drawing is going to be more difficult than the house because I'm going to include people. But at least I only had to draw the roomette in pencil once...photoshop is my lover. Still, drawing a whole bunch of different folks is going to be a pain. How does Darrow do it??

Last night I found out that everyone but me has seen Electroma. Apparently it's pretty terrible.
